Seattle Kraken Support LGBTQ+ Community During Pride Weekend

The Seattle Kraken played a significant role in supporting the LGBTQ+ community during the 6th Seattle Pride Classic held at Kraken Community Iceplex. This vibrant event featured 20 teams and celebrated 'queer joy' on ice, showcasing the Kraken's commitment to inclusivity. Joey Gale, vice president of the Seattle Pride Hockey Association, highlighted the importance of creating a safe space for participants, especially in light of recent political challenges. The weekend culminated in the 'All-Stars of Pride' game, where Seattle Kraken radio voice Everett Fitzhugh emceed, energizing the crowd with chants and music. The Kraken organization has been a foundational partner for the event, providing resources and support since its inception.
